Nathan's Top Ten Singles of the Year: #5
#5: Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood
I know what you're thinkin..."Oh my gosh Nathan, this song has nothing about grace to do with it." I completely agree with you. It totally falls in with the age-old practice of loving the Lord one minute and going in the other direction the next, which happens often in the country tradition. Carrie Underwood, the same girl that sang 'Jesus Take the Wheel' just a couple of years ago brought us the ultimate get-back-at-your-cheatin'-partner song. I love it. I also love the fact that my mom asked who sang that song about, and I quote, "and carved her name into his legacy."
You got to hear the chipmunks sing this one...enjoy!

I think "carved her name into his legacy" sounds slightly sultry. Like what does she mean??? Oh well, what am I to know? I'm just an old lady with a wild and funky son who knows the words to every song worth remembering! Legacy is a car, isn't it?
