Oscar Predictions
These are my humble predictions for who will go home with the golden statues on Sunday. I chose not to officially predict in areas of documentary and short films, just haven't seen any of 'em.
Picture of the Year - No Country for Old Men
Best Actor - Daniel-Day Lewis
Best Actress - Julie Christie
Supporting Actor - Javier Bardem
Supporting Actress - Tilda Swinton
Director - The Coen Brothers
Best Original Screenplay - Juno
Best Adapted Screenplay - No Country for Old Men
Best Art Direction - Sweeney Todd
Best Cinematography - There Will Be Blood
Best Film Editing - No Country for Old Men
Best Original Score - Atonement
Best Original Song - That's How You Know (Even though I hate that the movie, Enchanted, has trumped incredible songs by Eddie Vedder from being in this category at all)
Best Animated Feature - Ratatouille
Best Costume Design - Atonement
Best Makeup - Sweeney Todd
Best Visual Effects - Transformers
Best Sound Mixing - Transformers
Best Sound Editing - Transformers

Oh, I saw it...I just fell asleep about 20 minutes into it...but what I saw was incredible, Ha!

If the movie, Enchented, is anything like the songs I heard last night, I would agree with you, NG, the movie can't be very good.
by the way, your predictions were very accurate, with only a few exceptions!

ONCE won best music/song for "Falling Slowly"! Didn't see that coming!

IKR! ONCE was one of my favorites! I was so glad it won...that was a great part of the show! I can't say that I even saw Enchanted...it looks like a fun concept. I guess I should see, but as Linda commented...after the music we heard last night...it looks pretty cheesy, like a Julia Roberts movie on crack.

Sure did Claire! It was great! Such a sweet cast (not surfer sweet “That was sweet dude…” but dispositionally sweet).
