Venga Pujols!
With his 41st, I believe, home run tonight against the Astros Albert Pujols is leading the team towards post season...not that I'm paying attention. If I show too much interest, Pujols will start hitting like he's swinging with a bat made of lead, Carpenter's arm will fall off, Holliday will quit and decide to take up water polo, and Molina will decide to leave St. Louis and play with his brother. You see, I've got the gift of bad luck for the Cards. I'm going to two games this weekend, Friday and Sunday. I'm just letting everyone know ahead of time so they plan screw ups that will be really dramatic and fun for me to watch live.
We're up at least by 9 at this point for the Central Division! Again, not that I'm counting or anything...I really don't care. Hopefully my attending the game won't be too much of a hindrance. Keep up the good work Red Birds! If you're interested, and I'm sure many of you aren't, there is a 'Staches for the Cards' facebook group you can join to support the Cardinals should they go post season! We haven't figured out what girls could do yet, however I suggested growing your armpit hair out, but they didn't go for it. GO CARDS!

You Light Up My Life
I saw these lamps on Architecture Digest's website. The frog one reminds me of the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe...not sure why, it just seems majestic I guess.

CHICAGO!
Did you know that great fun can be had by all in Chicago? I went with my people a few weeks ago...it was a great weekend...see below.
(this is not Chicago)
Heidi beat Neil as the first to take a picture of a piece of grass at a rest stop
We went to IKEA
Not a raccoon, but a pillar that caters
Look! I'm a mermaid
The beaches are great, but it's no Mississippi River
One of many photo sessions of vain seagulls
Heidi's graduating from Belleville Senior High! Congratulations Heid!
The pizza is so good, but no Italian Village
Who knew Greece was so close by?
Seagulls and their damn glamour shots
OH MY GOSH! That picture's so funny!

Passion Pit.
Paste Magazine just named Passion Pit the Best of What's Next. It's true. They're great...the most Eurotrashy Electronic Badness this side of the Atlantic. Check 'em out below...

Stars! They're Just Like Us!
I went to the All-Star Softball Game back when the real All-Star Game was in St. Louis...and look, they're just like us! My friend had great seats, right over the dugout! When Jon Hamm was walking down the stairs I got his autograph, which was way cool cause Mad Men is my favorite show...he wouldn't give me January Jones' number though...maybe next time.
They play softball!
They stand!

They walk!
They take pictures...and sit!
They clap!

They pose for pictures!
They circle up!

Mad Men Yourself!

The best show on TV today, Mad Men, starts their 3rd season on August 16th on AMC. They've won the Emmy for Best Dramatic Series the past two years. It's great. Oh, and P.S., you can "Mad Men" yourself...just go to amctv.com. I'm the guy by the bar...they have designs for those of the female gender as well. They didn't quite have my nose, but this one will do. Check it out!

A Day in the Gardens
I went to the Missouri Botanical Gardens with some friends. The weather has been incredilbe this summer; the day we went it was in the low 70s...in July!?!?
We layed in the grass under a tree...

Halloween '09!
I realize it's way early to start thinking about Halloween but I've got the greatest costume idea for my sister...it's Kate Gosselin! Hilarious!

Welcome to St. Louis!
If you used to live in St. Louis...this is what you're missing. As a person who drives all over the city and then up to Florissant and then to South City on a regular basis for my job, it is a very, very frustrating time to live here. I've pretty much decided that if there's a road without construction, then MODOT is going to a find a way to cause detour and/or a road block. It's awesome! Seriously, who made the decision to close the main way through the entire town for two years? It's like closing the Brooklyn Bridge to Manhattan. It's not, not blood pressure raising at all.
